What a Kenya Expedition Costs

How much does a Kenya humanitarian trip cost?

The expedition fee is $3,950–$4,250 per person, double occupancy, and covers everything on the ground: lodging, all meals, transportation, guides, Maasai Mara park fees, and project supplies. Plan on roughly $1,200–$1,900 for international flights, $150–$300 for travel insurance, about $32 for the Kenya eTA, and about $500 in cash for tips, shopping, and extras.

What the expedition fee includes

Every expedition price covers lodging, all meals, in-country transportation, expert guides, Maasai Mara park fees and permits, project supplies, and cultural activities. International flights, travel insurance, and the Kenya eTA (about $32) are separate.

What to budget on top

International flights (booked through Unrivaled Travel Experiences so the group arrives together), travel insurance with medical coverage, the Kenya eTA, any vaccinations or medication your doctor recommends, and about $500 in cash for tips, market shopping, and personal extras.

How it compares

A typical 10-day Kenya safari runs $3,000–$5,000 per person for game drives, lodges, transport, and park fees. Our price is in the same range and adds days of humanitarian work, deep cultural time with a community we have partnered with for over a decade, and the same Maasai Mara safari.
